Taking samples from artists like M.I.A., The Ying Yang Twins, Beck, Of Montreal, and Grizzly Bear, this musically savvy mix maker incorporates indie music with an electronic twist, making it accessible in any sort of setting. Gillis has been touted as an “exhibitionist,” feeling it wise to strip down and groove to his tunes during certain songs that inspire. I wouldn’t be surprised if the muse behind these crazy compilations was indeed that same inherent strangeness he seems to possess, so I say let the insanity reign and give us more Girl Talk!
